STRONGER.  What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  Ok, it was really existentialist Nietcshe who said it, but you get the drift.  Those were my first thoughts this morning after minding my own business on the couch with a strong cup of black coffee trying to pry my eyelids open and watching the Today Show...I was immediately catapulted back to 9th grade in highschool after hearing the story of 16 year old Whitney Kroup who was voted onto the homecoming court of her small town Michigan highschool as a JOKE.  She said she'd thought of suicide when she found out it was a hoax.  Broke my heart.  Not that I was voted to homecoming as a joke, but the emotional bullying was horrendous...and really, it started in 4th grade.  (4th, 7th, and 9th grades felt like the worst of my life).

The cool thing about the Michigan story is that the town is rallying around her, businesses donating dresses, coifs, bling in support of her attending the ceremony.  So it's Carrie with a happy ending!
