I love the arts.  Try to support them as often as possible.  And the holidays are a wonderful time to venture into the land of STAGE!  There is something about a live performance that sparks a childlike wonder and focus.  If family and friends are coming for a visit, this will be a lovely outing.

Check out the tried and true Altanta Ballet's The Nutcracker at the Fabulous Fox Theatre thru Dec 26th www.atlantaballet.com

Or there's The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra starting next Thursday thru Saturday with "Christmas With the ASO" then "ASO Kid's Christmas" on Sundays Dec 9th and 16th..."A Gospel Christmas" Dec 14-15, and don't miss A Very Merry Holiday POPS! www.atlantasymphony.org

For holiday stage plays check out:

The Alliance Theatre:  A Christmas Carol thru Dec 23rd (Chris Kayser returns as Scrooge) www.alliancetheatre.org

Horizon Theatre:  Madeline's Christmas (in association with the Kids Theatre)  and an outrageous holiday comedy, The Santaland Diaries!  www.horizontheatre.com

More comedy is a must at Sketchworks with funnyman Mike Stiles and the gang!

Atlanta Performs:  It's A Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play  in the North Delalb Cultural Center/Dunwoody  www.atlantaperforms.com

AFTER Christmas and New Year's and into January, be sure to catch FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at the Marcus Jewish Community Center Atlanta Jan 19-Feb3 www.atlantaajcc.org

I know I'm missing a ton of great productions in our fine arts city, so feel free to clue me in!  Have a great weekend, and Happy December!
