If you were into Baseball in 1982 here in Atlanta, you gotta remember Braves pitcher Pascual Perez.  He was from the Dominican Republic, didn't speak much English, and missed a game at Fulton County Stadium because he "got lost on I-285"!  He had a history of drug use, so we had to laugh when we heard that excuse!  It became the reason anybody was ever late for anything!  "Sorry, got lost on 285"!

That was the year the Braves won NL (West?) Division with Pascual pitching...so was Phil Niekro, Raffe Ramirez at shortstop, Chris Chambless at first??  I think that's right.  Glenn Hubbard 2nd, Bob Horner 3rd, Dale Murphy Left Field...can't remember the rest of the lineup...please fill me in!  (80's are a blurrrrr)  Oh, that was also when Joe Torre was at the helm!

So it is with a heavy heart that we lost Pacual to a fatal home invasion Weds night in the Dominican Republic.  Looks like a premeditated robbery and possible premeditated murder.  Pascual had just gotten his first retirement check from MLB.  Check out this article from ESPN for more

On a lighter note, have a great weekend and thanks for taking us to work with you...and if you are ever late for work, just use Pascual's excuse!  With all the GDOT work lately, they'll buy it!!  Know You're Loved, JG

RIP Pascual. xoxo
