How early did you let your kiddos start cooking with you?  I shoulda started earlier, because now I think it’s too late!  My problem was wanting to get things cooked quickly, so it seemed to hold things up to let my 3 or 4 year old daughter at the time  help out with dinner.  So now I'm So Outta Luck! Gotta admit, I’m not the greatest in the kitchen, so I’m certainly not setting a good example for my 12 year old.  Seems I have to be in a “creative” mood to cook meals, and unfortunately my pocketbook suffers…it’s quite expensive to eat out (even fast food).  But after getting home from work and school, are you not dog tired?  Just feels easier to let the restaurant take care of it all!

Do you have any time and cost cutting tips?  Would love to hear about ‘em.  We’re all so busy these days, and our meal time is important for nutrition but almost more important for family bonding.

Man, it’s hard to keep all these hats on our heads, right?!  Work fulltime, fulltime parent, chauffer, cook!

YIKES.  Maybe it’s best to get the kids in the kitchen when they’re youngsters and think it’s FUN to wash dishes by hand, and bread the chicken strips, and dump the ingredients into the big bowl.  Just hope it doesn’t turn into “Fun With Knives” !!! Check out this read

Hmmmm...maybe a kids' cooking camp is in order this summer! xoxo

Know You’re Loved,

Jordan
