Happy Mother's Day

By Jordan Graye

Does your mom know you love her?  Maybe you're working through old family issues that get in the way of a healthy relationship (I think I put my therapist in a convertible Jaguar..lots of therapy).  I remember when I was 12, I couldn't be in the same room with Mom for more than 5 minutes before I wanted to rip her head off...guess how old my darlin' girl is now? Yep!   Ahh, I can hear those sweet words my mom would utter...in a muffled scream back in the day... "Just wait  'til you're a mother!"

Well I am a mom now, and I understand the sacrifices she made everyday for me and my sister.  I feel ashamed sometimes when I recall some of my behavior toward her.  I never tell her enough that I love and appreciate her.  Do you?  Maybe you're so busy growing your own family that you forget to make time to thank her for growing the family you knew as a kid.  Maybe she knows without you ever saying a word.  Maybe you show her in little ways...like when my mom comes over I serve coffee to her in a cup and saucer because I know she prefers that.  I had to rifle through my china boxes to find it, but by gosh, her dainty cup and saucer sit quietly amongst the clunky mugs in my cabinet just waiting for her next visit.  Little things matter.  Do something little and loving for someone that matters this weekend.

And take a look at the precious little thing in this video.  Pure love of baby Christian by his mom.  And if this link isn't viable, PLEASE copy and paste to your address bar.  And grab a Kleenex first.

Happy Mother's Day    xoxo

ps. ME tv has a mom's day marathon with great old shows Sunday (Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, etc).  So does Antenna TV! Enjoy!
