When it comes to pictures, I hate having mine taken. That said, I try to look my best...makeup, soft lighting. Even when pictures aren't involved I shoot for ambient lighting, no fluorescent lights allowed. They make every woman look like Keith Richards. Don't get me wrong, I think he's hot, I just don't wanna look like him! (You should see the control room, total "mood lighting" )
I was so happy to come across the article about Kate Blanchette refusing photoshop on a magazine shoot! WOW. A real woman movie star on a magazine cover. Go figure! It's a sad state that this is even a "news" story, but with our society the way it is these days...botox injected, collagen boosted, nipped and tucked and anything but embracing growing older, it's so refreshing to find people who want to be REAL.
