Not a fan of the new Ga License Plate.  Don't know why.  Too cluttered maybe?  At any rate, when you get hit with that birthday tax and have to renew your tags, you'll be getting the new license plate.  Of course, soon we won't have the birthday tax anymore and we'll just have to pay an extra 6 or 7% when we buy a car (sales tax included in that I think).

The plates just came out last month, and I'm starting to see them around here and there.  It started me trippin' down memory lane.  I guess because it's summertime, and every year we'd take a trip during the long break..somewhere...usually to the beach, but sometimes farther.  We drove to NYC one summer back in the '70s, and my sister and I would always look to see if our GA neighbors were journeying with us on the road.  Whenever we'd see a GA License plate we'd wave and scream out the windows!  My parents acted all "mortified", but I knew they wanted to do it, too.  And the other cars would always wave back!  Yes, we would also get the semi truck drivers to honk their horn, too.  This would last for a few hours, then "poof"...no more GA license plates, we were the only ones.   It got lonely north of the Mason-Dixon!

I found some old license plates from way back on ebay.  It's fun to look and see which ones I remember having.  What about you?  Any road trips this summer?  If you see me on the interstate, please honk and wave and I'll do the same right back atcha...I'm in the orange Datsun with the brown door!

Stay safe, drive carefully, and thanks for tuning in whether on the road, at home, or work.  Know You're Loved, Jg
