When I first heard about the "Traffic Referendum" vote coming up July 31st, for about a split second I thought I might vote for it...Heaven knows we need some help when it comes to unraveling Atlanta's clogged arteries. But I don't have a good feeling in my gut about this one. I guess I'm so tired of paying the government for broken promises. Not sure I can trust this referendum will help at all.
I've been researching this as best I can, and stumbled on a letter to the editor of a Peachtree City paper, and it states what I feared...that upon HIS findings, the money goes to RESEARCH, not to the actual building/fixing the traffic snarls. And whatever IS done, it'll shave off only about two minutes on your commute. Check out the article, and by all means, send me any info on the subject pro or con.
