I'm Officially My Parents Now And The Grammys Prove It

Previous Posts

By Jordan Graye

So I couldn't help but hear the over produced, bass thumping, mickey mouse reverb noise coming from my soon to be 12 year old daughter's room the other day when lo and behold I heard myself utter the words I used to dread when I was her age:  "Boy, they don't make music like they used to."  These were the very words my father would say to me when I would listen to The Stones' Goat's Head Soup over and over again while holed away in my room.  I couldn't believe it.  I am now officially my parents...scratch that...I went straight to my GRANDPARENTS !  At any rate it's never been so apparent with this year's Grammy nods.  I've only heard of about 1/8th of the list. Sad.  But check it out for yourself here at  http://www.cbs.com/shows/grammys/nominees/ and see if you fare better than I !!!    And bundle up this weekend,  know you're loved, I'll see ya Monday!   xoxo
