Hormone Hell and Brain Chemistry

Previous Posts

By Jordan Graye

As the mom of an almost twelve year old, I'm about to pull my hair out (what's left of it after menopause).  On top of busy school schedules with play rehearsals and soccer practice there's the nightly mother-daughter melt down.  This has become an ugly ritual.  I've got to quit reacting to those tiny chemicals in my ladybug's body that wreak total havoc on not just her emotional state, but mine, too.  It's such a difficult period of life, and I just want to help her navigate through it all.

Read a very informative article in the Wall Street Journal of all places about our tween/teen's brain chemistry and how we can help shape our kids' adolescent brains!   And maybe end the power-struggle, screaming match, crying jag, nightly theatrics!
