Wow, what a way to start the day...come into the control room, check your email and find out the greatest guy on earth was involved in a fatal crash on his way into warm up the seat I sit in when his shift is done. DANG. I feel so helpless, but so glad Kelly Stevens of the Vikki and Kelly in the Morning Show is doing well at Grady Hospital.  BTW, if you ever need trauma intervention you WANT TO BE AT GRADY or Kennestone...amazing trauma centers there.

So he was coming into work around 4:30 AM and saw headlights coming straight for him in the left southbound lane of 400.  22 year old girl lost her life.  So sad.  Not sure if she was under the influence, but driving the wrong way in the wee hours of the morning might suggest a few too many.  And if that's the case, what IRONY...Kelly is clean and sober.  He quit the self-medicating a few years back (very public..I'm not breaking confidentiality).  So he cleans up his act, then is hit by (possibly) a drunk driver.  WOW.
