Yikes, I just got my insurance bill for the upcoming year and just about keeled over.  I'm paying $350 more dollars because of a couple of speeding tickets I got last year.  One was in Austell with an "austere" fine of $257 and the other in Smyrna which I shoulda contested, but was too busy...and that's EXACTLY what they're counting on.  I didn't think tickets were reported unless you were exceeding the limit by 20mph or more.  WRONG!  Speeding tix are reported at 15 mph over the limit...and of course I was in the 17 mph range both times.

There's a website that breaks down the mph overage with how many points go on your driver's license.  So now I have 4 freakin' points on my record.  But, just like I try to teach my daughter, there are consequences to actions!  That phrase "get the lead out" has new meaning to me...I must get the lead out of my dang FOOT!

Ok, so I've never made a claim on my insurance, and it's their discretion to set penalties, which in my opinion are steep for this one...ummm... I'm lookin' for a new company!

Are you happy with your insurance company?  Which one is it?

Have a great day and watch out for State Patrol on the freeways...it's getting toward the end of the month ya know, and they must make quota!  Man what racket.

Know You're Loved,

Jg
