The historic Fox Theatre is located on Peachtree Street and is considered a landmark in Atlanta. It was originally the Yaarb Temple Shrine Mosque in the late 1920's. The Fox opened as the Great Depression began and had to declare bankruptcy after 125 weeks. Its history would play out like this for decades to come. Today, the Fox is on the National Historic Registry and books over 300 performances a year.
