It’s over for the Atlanta Hawks. Once again, it’s Lebron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers who did the honors. Sunday afternoon inside Philips Arena, the Cavs held-on for the 100-99 decision in Game-4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, completing a sweep of the series. Last season, the Cavs swept the Hawks in the conference finals round.
Kevin Love led Cleveland with 27 points, while James nailed a big shot with 39.2 seconds to go to lead to the Cavs’ win. The Hawks had one last chance with a jump ball with 2.8 seconds left. The ball was tipped toward the sideline and picked-up by the Hawks’ Paul Millsap. But his desperation shot bounced off the rim…it turns out, coming just after the buzzer.
The Hawks now enter another off-season with many questions about their roster going forward.
