Opened in 1940, the Variety Playhouse Atlanta began life as a movie theater named, The Euclid - a reference to its address to this day, 1099 Euclid Avenue. It then went through a series of owners and functions until 1989, when it became the Variety Playhouse Atlanta as we know it today.

A combined theater / nightclub venue, the Variety Playhouse Atlanta is equipped with dancing and standing areas, tables, chairs and theater-style seats.
