Imagine taking a day like Halloween which is synonymous with ghosts, goblins, haunted houses and all things pertaining to death, and give it a facelift: and instead use it to celebrate life and the pursuit thereof. With that being said, we get "Vie! The Celebration of Life." The theme all throughout the show is women. I chose this theme for several reasons. The first being the mere idea that they are the bearers of life. The second reason is in honor of my mother Juanita Reynolds, who lost her battle of Sickle Cell when I was very young. And this is V(ie): A Celebration of Life! This a place where we will tell the stories of the many who are affected or infected by the long list of terminal diseases that make living and enjoying life difficult! Proceeds from this event will benefit The Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. Performers featured are Gotta Dance Contemporary, Axam Dance Theater Experience, Foxy Pink Kittens, and the Mistress of Ceremonies, Maiesha McQueen to name a few. Choreographer and Producer Stephan Reynolds: Dancer, Choreographer, Creative Producer, Drag Personality, Drag Coach, founder/ leader of his own dance troupe, and owner of the Sin City Drag Queen Pageants, Stephan is already a seasoned veteran of live on stage performance. His dance training includes Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Dance Theater of Harlem, Paul Taylor and the Martha Graham School. To list but some of his credits: In 1998, he was selected to perform the lead solo in Paul Taylor's Company B. In 1999, he performed the leading role in Penumbra's Black Nativity and performed with the show for three consecutive years. He has choreographed for Knick City Dancers, New York Liberty, Memphis State University, SUNY at Purchase College, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Las Vegas Gladiators, Southern Methodist University, The Polish National Ballet, to name a few, has danced and taught dance in 30 major cities and all throughout Europe. As an International Master Teacher, he has taught throughout the US and in Paris, Warsaw, Alexandria,Norway, Greece, London, Montreal, Quebec, Dortmund, and Zurich. While doing all this, he has performed full time, since 2005, as a name character Le Travesti (meaning the transvestite) in Cirque du Soleil's production of "O" at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino and has also assisted Cirque in promoting "O" and in creating choreography for "O" and other showssuch as "Love." His performance of Le Travesti is so acclaimed and well recognized that he is one of the Cirque stars whose bronzes were created by famed Master Sculpturer Richard MacDonald. The sculpture Bullwhip features Stephan's classically beautiful physique and graces the MacDonald Gallery at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and 26 others throughout the world.
