Come enjoy a thought provoking movie over a nice Sunday dinner! Followed by a powerful discussion. A Tri-Filling Experience! This iteration of 'Dinner - Movie - Discussion' showcases: But Some of My Friends are Black....Racism and the Culture of Denial.PLOT: Tim Wise, a caucasian anti-racism activist, speaks about racism in America from a social and cultural perspective, how it's perpetuated and the excuses people use to justify their denial of such. He speaks of it from his own background and why it's as much of a problem for white people as it is for people of color. He breaks things down in an attention retaining 'as matter of fact' manner that makes this really clear to even those who reside in a state of denial. I'm intrigued with the idea of the type of discussion this lecture will produce on such a topic. It's great for those who affirm and deny the existence of racism and how to identify it. Seating is very limited. Advanced ticket purchase is not required but strongly suggested to ensure your seat is secured.
