Businesses have realized this trend and are actively moving to enable greater business productivity on the very devices their employees are bringing into the workplace. These new devices, new applications, and a “bring your own device approach” bring special challenges to IT security professionals. This presentation is to discuss the business drivers of this new world, the specific security concerns that need to be addressed, and give some recommendations on how IT Security can successfully enable this greater productivity that their companies are begging for. Speaker Bio: Andrew Warnick is a veteran of the mobile applications, mobile security, and mobile device management industry with 14 years of experience with companies including Nokia, Intellisync, Synchrologic, and Good Technology. Andrew has assisted customers in countless implementations of mobile work force enablement as a consultant. Andrew has worked with companies to analyze and implement all phases of mobile security from encryption, network security, local device security, app server security. Andrew is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering and post grad studies in Computer Science. Andrew works for Good Technology as a Solution Engineering Manager.
