The Atlanta Film Festival closes with a party and screening of "The Spectacular Now," an adaptation of Tim Tharp's novel of the same name about the insecurity and confusion of adolescence. The film was written by "(500)DAYS OF SUMMER" scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and directed by Athens, Ga., native James Ponsoldt. Ponsoldt is the winner of the festival's 2003 Perfect Pitch and 2008 Screenplay Competition awards.
