The Eta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. will host on March 9, 2013 from 11:30am to 3:30pm, the 16th Annual Youth Symposium entitled “It’s in the Bag”. The symposium will focus on S.T.E.M, introducing youth, ages 13-17, to futures in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Our overall theme is “H3: It’s All About Me – Healthy Choices, Healthy Living, and Healthy Generations”.
This year, we are partnering with Girl Scouts of America and various non- profit organizations to provide a vast array of topics such as teen pregnancy, childhood obesity and HIV/AIDS Awareness. The expected number of attendees should exceed 100 plus.
In addition, several genres of entertainment are being scheduled such as Gospel, R&B and Hip Hop Performances.

■Motivational Speakers and Panels
We invite you to participate in this FREE event.
We are excited to provide Free STD/HIV/AIDS Testing, a S.T.E.M panel with guests from Wellstar, Cbeyond, and Coca-Cola/Poweraide, Demonstrations from our Girl Scout partners, Teen Choices Speaker(s) & Forum, Youth Step Show, Donation Rally for St. Jude's Hospital and Project Cradle Care, along with entertainment from an up and coming R&B Star: Tyrson Kruze, an exciting performance from La Cue Productions and other talent acts.
The Event is Free.
