In the swinging, Atlanta Jazz Party! Hot Jazz tradition, we.re pleased to announce the full list of performers for this, The 24th Atlanta Jazz Party! Returning AJP veteran, reed man Ken Peplowski; Also returning, AJP favorite Bassists Nicki Parrott along with Atlantan Neil Starkey who we heard at last year's Big Band Session with trumpeter Joe Gransden who returns this year as well. Of course the lineup would not be complete without John Cocuzzi on vibes, vocals and piano along with John Sheridan and Mark Shane; AJP favorite Dan Barrett returns on trombone along with Russ Phillips; on cornet, and for the first time ever at AJP, Warren Vache, and of course on clarinet brother Allan Vache. On guitar this year we have none other than Marty Grosz and Matt Munisteri. Our drummers this year include an AJP first timer Danny Coots and the hardest workin' drummer in Jazz AJP favorite Eddie Metz, Jr.; to round things out we bring back Jon-Erik Kellso on cornet and another AJP first-timer who we are thrilled to announce, vocalist Catherine Russell. Music is in the tradition of Chicago/New York, BG Quartet, West Coast, New Orleans jazz bands and combos. All-star line-ups will play seven sets on Friday night, seven sets on Saturday afternoon, seven sets on Saturday night, and seven sets on Sunday. All performers get featured in each session.
