Brian Loring (aka "Pinot-Master") began his pursuits after tasting top Burgundies when he was a mere box-boy at an upscale wine store in the ‘80s. His first encounter with California Pinot Noir was when he literally fell over a box of Calera at the store. Flash forward and you have a guy who makes some of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay coming out of California today. Brian sources his fruit from top vineyards such as Gary’s and Rosella’s in the Santa Lucia Highlands. He works closely with his growers. “Since most, if not all of the growers keep some fruit to make their own wine, I tell them to farm my acre(s) the same way they do theirs - since they'll obviously be doing whatever is necessary to get the best possible fruit.” You can learn about Brian’s decades of dedication to the grape by joining us at Sherlock’s Brookhaven on Wednesday evening, February 20th, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Not only will you taste some great wines, you’ll also hear about some new projects Brian is working on.
