Gainess novel A Lesson Before Dying staring Don Cheadle, Cicely Tyson and Mekhi Phifer. Dr. Lawrence Jackson of Emory University will facilitate a lecture on the novel and the literary legacy of Ernest J. Gaines after the film screening. Ernest J.
