Strike Poverty! Celebrity Bowling Gala and Tournament! Higher Family Achievement, will host its first annual Strike Poverty! Celebrity Bowling Gala and tournament! 2013’s Strike Poverty Charity Bowling Gala and Tournament will be at Brunswick Zone Marietta. The event begins at 6:00pm at 2749 Delk Road Marietta, GA 30067. The mission of the event is to unite prominent members of Atlanta’s community in an effort to raise awareness of and provide financial support for Higher Family Achievement a nonprofit committed to educating and empowering underprivileged youth. www.higherfamilyachievement.org The fun-filled evening will bring together artists, athletes. Industry, political and corporate influences to knock down pins for this worthy cause. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Higher Family Achievement. The event will be hosted by Ms. Georgia United States Lakisha Brooks. Twenty corporate sponsored teams, headed by celebrity captains will bowl two games each. The team with the highest cumulative score will be the winner. Invited guests will be encouraged to make pledges and matching gifts based on team scores. The games will be followed by a light-hearted awards ceremony where trophies will be presented in a variety of categories such as Best Team, Highest Game, Best Team Uniforms, Most Team Spirit.
