The acclaimed film "Lola rennt" ("Run, Lola, run") traces three plot lines involving Lola, a young woman in Berlin, who tries to desperately help out her boyfriend in mere 20 minutes. The feature by director Tom Tykwer employs the trope of the butterfly effect, dramatizing the timespan of Lola's frantic 20 minutes in three different lines of action with three distinct outcomes. Due to its innovative narrative structure, "Lola rennt" has become one of the most iconic German films of the late 1990s. It will be shown in German with English subtitles. This is the first event in the German Movie Night spring series on 'Germany - on the Move'.
