The National Finals competition of the 2012-2013 Rapido! Take Three!! 14 Day Composition Contest caps the concert. Five Finalist works previously chosen in fall 2012 concerts in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Atlanta will compete for the National First Prize Commission to expand the short winning work, leading to premieres the next season by chamber ensembles in all five U.S. cities – as well as a commission and premiere by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
