This class will introduce your child to basic ballet and tap techniques each week through movement and music. Students will develop coordination, flexibility and grace through ballet; as well as beat, tempo and rhythm awareness through song and tap dance. The Spring Recital on May 18 is the highlight of our dance season, and provides students with a live stage performance opportunity. Students must be registered by January 25 to be eligible to perform in the Spring Recital. A separate, non-refundable fee of $80 is payable to Daystar Dance Academy for one costume and a pair of tights, recital tickets and facility charges. Students in more than one class may be required to purchase additional costumes at $50/ea. Fees will be divided into two payments: The first payment of $55 is due the week of January 28. The second payment of $25 is due the week of March 4.Attire: Pink leotard, pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Dance wear is available for purchase through the instructor. Long hair should be worn in a pony tail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.
