Group guitar lessons acquaint the absolute beginner with how to hold the instrument, play simple chords for sing along, then play simple melodies. Traditional chord charts, and tablature will be explained. No prior experience is required, but reading skills will be needed. Sessions are loosely structured, with extra material for students progressing faster than the norm. Class members must be able to pay attention during class, and devote some time to playing the guitar outside of class. Students must own their own guitars. This class provides the perfect way to ascertain interest in the instrument
