In 1993 he earned his SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute – the most prestigious designation in residential appraising – earned by less than 1% of appraisers. In 1996 he established D.S. Murphy & Associates and has grown the firm to be Atlanta’s largest residential appraisal firm, with 31 residential staff associates and 2 commercial associates - servicing the 22 county metro Atlanta market.
