Throw on your red heels (or red sneakers) and join us for our Annual Red Heels in the City event. In honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and Women's History Month we will be focusing on empowering our young girls. There will be discussions on the importance of seeking medical attention and being healthy, self image, teen dating violence, and HIV/AIDS among teen girls. You don't want to miss this awesome event!! There will be vendors, speakers, skits, and giveaways!!Featured Speakers:Kadrina Warren - "Healthy Finances: Making Your Dollars Make Cents" Angela Ray - "Rehearsing for the Leading Role: Lessons I Learned as an Actress That Can Help You Become a Megastar Student Leader" G. Bryan, Esq. - "The Pictures in the Magazines are not Real: Overcoming the Pressures of Physical Perfection Tamiko Lowry - "Dating Matters: Understanding Teen Dating Violence Paula Foster - "Damaged Goods" There will be a short film showing, "He Gave It To Me", by Star Clark. This film will help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among girls and women.Special Appearance by Tiffany Walker, Mrs. Cobb County Plus America 2013There will be special performances by Shanda Nicole an up and coming artist out of North Carolina and Taj a 15 year old artist out of Atlanta. Come ready to shop with our wonderful vendors!!There will be a raffle ticket drawing for a Tiffany & Co. necklace!! Come ready to purchase your raffle tickets. A portion of the proceeds from the raffle ticket drawing will be donated to a local girl's group home to help them continue their programs and services.
