Please join the Georgia Tech Office of International Education and the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs Center for European and Transatlantic Studies (CETS) for a guest lecture "The European Union's Role in Human Rights: Problems and Prospects" with Geoffrey Harris, Deputy Head European Parliament Liaison Office with the US Congress.Mr Geoffrey Harris is the Head of the Human Rights Unit within the Secretariat General of the European Parliament (Directorate General for external policies DGEXPO). This unit provides the back-up for the sub-committee, a parliamentary body working in the framework of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament. The unit provides back-up for all initiatives and aspects of the work of the institution concerning human rights.
