Or what about a poster highlighting the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in your studies or research? Or are you a professor that knows of students working on GIS related projects?If so, Georgia Tech's Center for GIS and Student Planning Association are hosting a GIS Day map and poster competition to highlight the skills of the institute's students.  Please participate and help promote GIS across campus! The categories include:CartographyApplied GISA winner from each category will receive a prize! The competition will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in the College of Architecture's East Building 2nd floor gallery space between the City Planning offices and the Dean's office.  Time details include:Gallery time from 9 am until 4 pmWinners posted at 3 pmGIS Day cake at 1 pm!Location is detailed on flyer.Please submit entries no later than November, 12, 2012, in order to be considered. Maps and posters can be 36" x 48" or smaller. Please submit entries electronically or in person to:Tony GiarrussoAssociate Director, Center for GIS tonyg@gatech.eduQuestions? Contact Tony by email or @ 404-894-0127 The Center for Geographic Information Systems (CGIS) is an interdisciplinary research center focused on GIS technology applications, education, and providing innovative solutions to diverse real-world problems.
