A unique theatrical experience, IMPROV! The Musical is the latest signature production from Jackpie, Atlanta's only training school/production company for long-form improvisational comedy (a.k.a. spontaneous theatre). Improvised musicals are a popular staple of major theatre cities such as New York, Chicago and L.A., so IMPROV! The Musical serves to fill a major void on the Atlanta improv scene. Other local companies attempt a short improvised musical sketch here and there. But IMPROV! The Musical is the city's only production in which the cast dares to improvise a 50-minute continuous narrative complete with dialogue, singing and dancing made up on the spot. Everything the 10-person cast does is inspired by a single audience suggestion, leading to hilariously irreverent shows such as "Vampirates," "Santa & His Helpers" and "Whitney & Bobby."
