LEAGUE of WOMEN VOTERS® is a nonpartisan political organization, which seeks to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. Our members are men and women who make a visible difference. They serve as community leaders who are using their experience to make democracy work and create lasting change in the communities in which they live. The LEAGUE of WOMEN VOTERS®, the original grassroots organization, encourages informed and active participation in government with more than 850 state and local Leagues and 150,000 members and supporters. Today "League" is organized at the national (LWVUS), state (LWVGA), and local levels, in parallel with the levels of organization of government.
