Tripp West

I have lived in Atlanta and been on the radio in this market since 1997. I am the husband of a wonderful wife, Jill, and the father of two beautiful girls, Keely and Emma (11 & 9) who are growing up way too fast in my opinion. Over the years we have lived in Austell, Kennasaw, Atlanta/Buckhead, and now currently live in Powder Springs.

As a family, we are huge Disney World fans. Whenever I take time off from work, there's a good chance we'll be down in Florida visiting the parks. This summer, however, we are planning a trip to Washington, DC.

We volunteer as a family at least once a week at McKenna Farms, which offers hippo therapy to special needs children. It's an amazing opportunity for us to do together, and we have learned so much about horses too. This past October we volunteered with McKenna at the equestrian events for Special Olympics Georgia.

As far as my personal interests: I love music, song writing, sound creation/design, DJing, film/video, computers/technology, hiking, camping, and reading (when I have the chance to).

I’m heading down to Tybee this weekend to drop my girls off with my mom for the week. It’s a trip they’ve made every year since they could barely walk. They enjoy visiting their “Granny B,” and they LOVE the beach.

This year, with stories of shark attacks and bacteria in the water driving the news, Jill and I are a little concerned with letting them go into the water. Sure, they have a great pool to swim in at my mom’s condo on the beach, but there’s nothing like swimming in the ocean.

What about you? Are you staying away from the beach this summer? Take my poll:

You Might Need This For Your Desk

I saw this in a store the other day and it made me laugh in the aisle. Seriously, people were looking at me.

A 7 Year Old Plays All Instruments & Sings

This is quite impressive. Sure it’s not a perfect song, but he’s only seven.

Harry Styles Falls On Stage

Just as One Direction was kicking off the North American leg of their world tour, Harry Styles has a little “oopsie” moment on stage. It’s not fun, but the “show must go on” and it did.
